firstly, paying respects to the originial don, amitabh bachchan, his movie was UNBEATABLE -
in his time but for today, farhan akhtar's don is without a doubt, more thrilling and more watchable.....im not just saying this cos i like shahrukh or cos my dp's of him in don (merely coincidential)
or because i've got sunnies just like his in don
but because i fell asleep trying to watch the old don....khaike paan and yeh mera dil were the only watchable/bearable songs in the old version and obviously, going back to the 70s or the 80s, whenever the movie was made, the technology and the ideas were AMAZING for them at that time, but now, us, being the generation exposed to more technology and better ideas, find the new don better (and hotter
)
HOWEVER (since there is always a but) the ending was RUBBISH and did not do justice to either the storyline, the actors, the original don, or to bollywood....it was without a doubt, the worst possible alternative to the original ending..(which is in NO WAY shahrukh's fault)...
